At Grotte de Domme, the visit follows a 450 metre gallery that has been carefully redesigned since the cave was opened to the public. Thanks to modern lighting, every corner of this natural treasure is enhanced, offering a truly immersive experience filled with spectacular visual surprises.

A short history, a great experience
Discovered in 1912, Grotte de Domme opened to the public almost immediately. In 1954, the entrance was arranged beneath the 17th century market hall. In 2021, a major redevelopment revealed the cave’s full beauty with a redesigned pathway and new generation LED lighting, more respectful of the environment. In 2022, a sound and light show was introduced, enhancing the experience with a truly spectacular finale.

Treat yourself to an exceptional sensory experience at Grotte de Tourtoirac, where nature and local gastronomy come together.
Throughout the visit, participants enjoy a selection of carefully prepared local products from partner producers. From aperitif to dessert, each stage is designed to awaken the senses and celebrate the flavours of the Périgord Noir. This “Instant Gourmand” experience combines the natural beauty of the cave with the richness of the local terroir.
