Privatising a gabare allows you to celebrate events such as weddings, birthdays or seminars on the water, surrounded by your loved ones. At the same time, the gourmet cruise combines the tasting of local products with a sensory immersion, creating a unique culinary and cultural experience.
Online purchases
Tickets can be purchased online at norbert.fr. To collect your boarding pass, please arrive at the ticket office at least 10 minutes before departure.
Bookings
Reservations can be made by phone on +33 (0)5 53 29 40 44. Seats booked by phone are held at the ticket office until 10 minutes before departure.
Period
Available during the low season period, from April to June and in September and October.
Duration
The experience lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, with departures only at the end of the day at 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm.
Price
The price for a private gabare is €598. Depending on the number of guests, an additional charge will apply for tastings.
Languages
French speaking guide. We also offer audio guides in English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Catalan, Chinese, Japanese, Danish, Russian and Taiwanese.
Organisation
We have two gabares with a capacity of 48 people each, but access is not suitable for wheelchair users. Participants must be able to walk a few steps in order to board.

Other activities in 2025
Special children’s cruise: This tour is designed for families with children, with a more playful commentary adapted to the age of younger participants, delivered by our guides. The aim is to make the experience as entertaining as it is educational for children. At the end of the cruise, each child receives “The Boatman’s Travel Journal”.

- What is the duration of a cruise?
Cruises generally last around 50 minutes. A longer 1 hour 30 minute route is also available in the late afternoon.
- When are the gabares in service?
Gabares Norbert operate from early April through to the end of October.
- Do you offer visits in other languages?
Yes, audio guides are available for international visitors.
- Are the gabares accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Unfortunately, the boats are not equipped to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility.
- Are there toilets on board?
There are no toilets on board the gabares.
- Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome on board. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
- Is food available on board?
It is not possible to eat on board. However, restaurants and a picnic area can be found in La Roque-Gageac.
