The gardens and the park are a lovely place for a walk. The staff are welcoming and there is a charming shop at the entrance. Clean facilities and easy free parking. Overall, a very enjoyable visit.
Our partner Château de Hautefort and its gardens have been awarded the Destination of Excellence label and the Remarkable Garden label.

Château de Hautefort, with its classical architecture, reflects the legacy of Palace of Versailles and the aesthetic of the reign of Louis XIV of France. Its strict symmetry, balanced proportions and clean lines echo the principles inherited from Antiquity and Greco Roman temples. Like the Sun King, who compared himself to Jupiter, master of the gods and guardian of universal harmony, Hautefort asserts its majesty through perfect balance. It embodies the ideal of a château designed not for defence, but for prestige.
